It's a pretty sure bet that the new condominium units at Foundry won't feature any items from Habitat for Humanity Re-store, which happily departed its site at 310 Comal Street in exchange for a city-sanctioned affordable housing agreement with Foundry developer Cielo Property Group.
BuzzBuzzHome just posted new renderings for some of the 17 luxury condos to be included in the mixed-use building, still in the preconstruction phase but slated for Habitat's former corner in the East Cesar Chavez neighborhood. They look to be rather swank, if somewhat small (547 square feet to 1,094 square feet), at least at the lower end of the price range, which starts at $300,000 and goes up to $509,00+.
The group also released some more exterior renderings, which make the building look a little less foreboding and dormlike than the previous ones.
In addition to 17 condo flats—seven of which BuzzBuzzHome lists as up for presale—the building is set to contain a private fitness club and creative office space, with Sixth River Architect designing the whole thing. Foundry is scheduled to open in late 2017.
