Charming 1931 home on 3 lots asks 1.39M

Stone house in bucolic area north of UT campus

A solid stone, slate-roofed home built in 1931 is on the market, offering a rare chance to own three lots in the Central Austin/North University area near the University of Texas campus.

The 3,005-square-foot home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is advertised as a split-level home that can be a duplex, and does appear to have two kitchens, presumably one on each level. It also seems to have quite a few original features intact, including wood floors, trim, fireplace, and built-in cabinetry and shelving.

Most interesting, perhaps, is that the home occupies the middle of three lots, all of which are for sale with the home. The listing mentions the possibility of developing single- or multifamily homes on the property, although interested buyers will want to check existing zoning carefully if they have that in mind. At very least, it would make for a charming little private park.
