In an ongoing series with Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales prices ranges in different Austin neighborhoods.
Today's price comparison is for Barton Hills, the southwest-central area that runs in that direction from Lady Bird Lake along Zilker Park between MoPac/Barton Springs Road on the west and Robert E. Lee Road/Rabb Road/Rae Dell Avenue and South Lamar to the east, capping off at highways 290 and 71 on the southwest.
The current average listing price is $388 per square foot, although it ranges from $247/square foot (3211 Nancy Gale Drive, a 1962 three-bedroom house asking $395,000) to $554/square foot (2402 Homedale Circle, also a 1962 three-bedroom house, this one asking $1.49 million—presumably because the land it’s on can be sudivided).
