Highest and lowest home sales asking prices in Hyde Park

Historic beauties and student duplexes

In this ongoing series with Curbed, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales prices ranges in different Austin neighborhoods.

Today's focus is the central Hyde Park neighborhood, which forms sort of an "L" shape between East 38th and East 51st streets, roughly bounded by Guadalupe Street on the west and Red River on the east (with a chunk of the Hancock neighborhood adjacent to part of that).

The average listing price is $303 per square foot, although the individual properties that contribute to that average range from $214/square foot (1008 East 49th Street, a 1950 two-story duplex asking $349,000) to $477/square foot (3912 Avenue G, a home built in 1898 that has been on the market for several months).
