Here’s what it costs to buy a home in Manchaca right now

Drama and pragmatism in a nearby suburb

In an ongoing series for Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales price ranges in different neighborhoods. Today, it’s branching out a little beyond Austin’s borders, to Manchaca, Texas.

An unincorporated Travis County community about six miles southwest of Downtown Austin, Manchaca has fewer than 2,000 residents. So it’s both a small, rural town and a bedroom community.

The current average listing price in Manchaca is $172 per square foot, although the individual properties that make up this average range from $130/square foot (317 Anacua Loop, an four-bedroom house on the market for $319,990) to $222/square foot (13308 Larrys Lane, a new single-family home asking $376,309).
