The 10 most affordable homes in Rosedale

Established, central, charming

Data analytics site NeighborhoodX is conducting a broad study of affordability in major U.S. cities, and, as part of that, is identifying and analyzing the 10 least expensive market-rate properties in different neighborhoods.

This chart excerpts part of their research on Austin, looking at the 10 most affordable properties in Rosedale.

Rosedale is a wonkily shaped area in north central Austin, bordered by parts of Burnet Road and Lamar Boulevard, approximately between West 38th Street and North Loop Boulevard West/Hancock Drive.

The 10 most affordable properties in Rosedale range from $169,999 (for a one-bedroom condominium at 3902 Peterson Avenue #106) to $639,900 (a single-family home at 4103 Ridgelea Drive). Excluding that condo—since it could be seen as an outlier—the nine next most affordable properties range from $430,000 to $639,900.

On a per-square-foot basis, these prices range from $275 to $511 per square foot.
