In an ongoing series for Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales price ranges in different neighborhoods. Today, it’s checking out numbers in the Northwest Hills/Far West area.
Northwest Hills/Far West is bounded by MoPac on the east, state Highway 360 on the west, RR 2222 on the south, and Spicewood Springs Road on the north. As the name implies, it’s in the hills overlooking Lake Austin, and home to a mix of residents who are attracted to the views, recreation opportunities, and easy access to retail, restaurants, and entertainment in almost every direction.
The current average listing price in the neighborhood is $244/square foot, but the individual properties that make up that average range from $218/square foot (6008 Twin Valley Cove, a large single-family home with a dramatic entrance asking $524,900) to $374/square foot (6116 Mountain Villa Cove, a contemporary new build on the market for $1.35 million).
