West University condos, with a house or two thrown in

Data analytics site NeighborhoodX has been branching out again, this time conducting a study of affordability in major U.S. cities, focusing on cities at the neighborhood level. This week, the site looked at the West University neighborhood.

This chart excerpts part of their research on Austin, looking at the 10 most affordable properties in West University.

These properties range from $189,000 (a studio—with a Murphy bed!—at 2612 San Pedro Street #103) to $539,800 (a house at 606 West 31-1/2 Street.). The most affordable one-bedrooms begin at $265,000.

On a per-square-foot basis, these prices range from $219/square foot (2401 Leon Street #308) to $478/square foot (606 West 31-1/2 Street).
