In an ongoing series with Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales price ranges per square foot in different neighborhoods. Today, after more number crunching, it has issued a report that consolidates the average and range of asking prices for the neighborhoods it covered in November.

For the neighborhoods analyzed, the price range throughout Austin was from $105/square foot (the most affordable property on a per-square-foot basis, located in Windsor Park) to $1,590/square foot (the most expensive property on a per-square-foot basis, which is Downtown, of course).

With the exception of Downtown and West Lake Hills (and the upper end of those properties was skewed somewhat higher by the larger lot sizes), West University had the next-highest price ($749/square foot). Behind it was Zilker ($587/square foot), Travis Heights ($580/square foot), Bouldin Creek ($540/square foot), and East Cesar Chavez ($537/square foot.)
