Now that former University of Texas football coach Charlie Strong is leaving Austin officially, to become head football coach at the University of South Florida, there’s obviously no need for him to hang on to his former home here, right?

The Austin Business Journal confirmed Wednesday that, indeed, his Barton Creek mansion is now on the market.

ABJ reported that the 10,896-square-foot mansion on four acres on Austin’s west side is marketed for almost $5 million through a private listing with Drew Tate of Tate Property.

The Mediterranean-style mansion was built in 2004 and has five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. National real-estate brokerage and data site Redfin lists the home as having last been purchased on May 2, 1014, for $4.6 million.

The photos here are from that 2014 listings but, aside from some decor changes, current photos of the home look virtually the same.
