This Eastside loft is strangely appealing

First-floor corner unit on market for $270K

Big contemporary loft with big windows and oor on one end, concrete floors, couch, entertainment area, etc.
2401 East Sixth Street Unit 4055
Realty Austin

East Austin lofts are, as we know, a dime a dozen these days (though not that cheap, sadly). But the combination of design, price, complex, and location make this one more appealing than most.

The ground-floor, corner unit is in the Pedernales Condos in the Holly neighborhood’s East Sixth Street. It measures 729 square feet, so it’s not even technically tiny. It’s a true loft/open-style unit with no separate bedroom and has one bathroom.

It opens on to the complex’s big, green courtyard, which features what looks like a garden and rainwater collection system as well as barbecue facilities (important!).

According to the listing, the homeowner’s association pays for water, gas, and high speed internet (although we can’t figure out from reading it what the monthly fees are).
