Fans turned out in force (heh) Wednesday night at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar for a light-saber tribute to and celebration of the life of actress and author Carrie FIsher, who died earlier this week at the age of 60.

Fisher was perhaps best-known for playing the role of Princess Leia in several Star Wars movies, including the original trilogy, but she was also respected as a best-selling author and for her role in destigmatizing mental illness.

Here are a few of the ways fans sent off one of their most beloved stars at the Alamo Wednesday.
