Six 1930s cottages on three lots

Verde Camp

Frankly, we’re a little surprised that Liz Lambert or another South Austin boutique hotelier hasn’t already snapped up this spot, but all the better for some other lucky investor with a soft spot for old-school South Austin ways.

Known as Verde Camp, the property has for years functioned as what current co-owner/proprietor (along with wife Carrie) Brandon 'BJ' Heinley calls on his LinkedIn page “a collection of six fully remodeled eco-friendly houses on a beautiful half acre of land in the popular South Congress area.”

The fully furnished houses, all on just over half an acre of land, function year round as short and medium-term vacation rentals. Built in the 1930s, the houses range in size but total 3,352 square feet and have nine bedrooms and six bathrooms among them.

Located in characteristically towering South Austin oaks near Elizabeth and Monroe streets on the east side of South Congress Avenue, the collection is within easy walking distance of the most bustling part of that strip.

The site also has such amenities as bicycles and and washer/dryers, which presumably convey.
