SXSW Mural Artists Step Up for Street Art Marathon

Hello, Walls

One of the funnest, most dynamic projects to come out of the (official and unofficial) inclusion of art installations in SXSW is the Impossible Wall Project. A collaboration between graffiti groups Pow! Wow! Hawaii and our own SpraTX, the event brings together artists from all over and gives over a public space to each to create his or her mural over the week of the festival. Here's some of their work (some still in progress), a little festival bonus they left behind.

Jason Eatherly, 2400 East Cesar Chavez

Esao Andrews, Juniper restaurant, 2400 East Cesar Chavez Street

Eleanor "Niz" Herasimchuk, Lamar Union, 1100 South Lamar, entrance to parking garage

Scott Tarbox, Violet Crown Social Club, 1111 East Sixth Street

Wade "Fish" Thompson, Lamar Union, 1100 South Lamar, back of parking garage

Dave Lowell, Austin Body Works, 1310 East Sixth Street
