Many Austinites (and non-Austinites, for that matter) know that local architect Michael Hsu occupies a major place in the development of Austin's design style. Hsu created distinctive designs for Uchi, Olivia, La Condesa, and Uchiko restaurants, just to name a few of his groundbreaking architectural contributions to the city.
Hsu is a residential designer, too, and it's a pleasant surprise to see this contemporary condo he designed on the market for the relatively modest price it's asking. At 1,750 square feet, the two-story home features 2 bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, two living areas, a rooftop patio, and a fenced yard.
Hsu has made the space feel open and light with such features as oversized windows, skylights, 10-foot ceilings, and distinctive finishes and fixtures, and it's close to some of the restaurants that feature his signature design, as well as to shopping and the metrorail.
