The powers that be in that place where Twitter, art, and history intersect declared last week #museumweek, and so it was. For the past week, museums and other art and history institutions—or some of them—have been posting interesting items from their collections with the tag, sometimes with a daily sub-tag (or something), such as #secretMW or #architectureMW.
Not all of Austin's museums participated, but many of the ones that did happened to be sort of Texas-themed ones in one way or another. Which makes a nice thematic secondary text. Here are some of our favorites from the week.
