A commercial building slated for offices and condos is coming soon to a lot at Third and Comal streets in East Austin, the Austin Business Journal reported Friday.
The Austin City Council approved an affordable housing plan that Cielo Property Group developed with Habitat for Humanity for 310 Comal Street, for decades the sight of Habitat's popular ReStore retail warehouse, the Journal story added, allowing the plan to move forward. Cielo told the Journal it planned to break ground there within the next three months.
According to the Journal, the new 95,444-square-foot development, will have 78,324 square feet of creative office space and 17 condo units for sale.
The multi-use project will be called Foundry, according to ABJ.
