This week's top home sales had buyers heading west, for the most part, and toward the water. There was a big gap between the most expensive home sale price those of the rest of the list, possibly related to the huge amount of lakefront and private dock buyers got with the former.

4512 Island Cove—A 6,381-square-foot home with 130 feet of Lake Austin waterfront and private dock. It has two stories, four bedrooms, and five and a half bathrooms. Listed $5,499,000; sold $5,360,000.

5500 Shoal Creek Boulevard—This 4,963-square-foot, remodeled 1955 Rosedale house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, including a guest apartment above an oversized, studio-like garage and a pool. Backs to Shoal Creek. Listed $1,998,000; sold $1,700,00.

2525 Waymaker Way—This 5,949-square-foot West Lake Hills house was built in 1999 and has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. Listed 1,699,000; sold $1,650,000.

3417 Tarlton Lane—This Rollingwood home measures 5,248 square feet and has five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms with a pool and Hill Country views. Listed $1,549,000; sold $1,575,000.

3713 Eastledge Drive—A 3,348-square-foot home in Balcones Park, this house on .5 acres has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Listed $1,549,000; sold $1,500,000.
