For our ongoing series Neighborhood Market Watch, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX is taking a close look at sales price ranges in different Austin neighborhoods. Today, they offer a chart summarizing their findings across several central city neighborhoods.
Their individual neighborhood analyses excluded foreclosures, income-restricted and affordable properties, properties positioned as development sites, and listings with incomplete or contradictory data.
In May, for the neighborhoods they covered, asking prices ranged from $211 to $1,389 per square foot.
On a per-square-foot basis, the most expensive properties could be found in Downtown ($1,326/square foot at the upper end of the range, but $601/square foot average) and in West Lake Hills ($1,389/square foot at the top of the range, but $409/square foot. average).
