We're fans of the historic Brown Building, the 10-story office/residential space at the corner of Eighth and Colorado streets completed in 1938, when it was considered a "tower." The granite-and-steel Art Deco greatness of its street-level facade and lobby are balanced perfectly by the raw, exposed-everything look of its lofts, which originally created around the time when raw, exposed-everything was the rage.
There are at least three Brown Building lofts on the market, but this one is clearly the best—if only because its staging/decoration is a little at odds with all the clean, crypto-minimalism of which we've had more than eyeful lately. (Also, at 1,280 square feet, it's a little bigger than the other two.)
It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, built-in bookshelves, and lots of other great touches, as well as the usual building amenities.
