Fifth & West Residences, the under-construction, 39-story West End condo tower with the marketing tagline "Live Above All That You Love," is experiencing brisk sales, despite the fact that it won't be completed until fall of 2017.

BuzzBuzzHome reports that roughly 25 percent of the building's 154 units has been sold. Some condos in the one-, two-, and three-bedroom categories (floor plans and number of bathrooms vary) have sold out.

Developed by Austin's Riverside Resources, the tower was designed by Dallas-based GDA Architects, with interiors by local firm Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. According to Hsu, whom we spoke with via telephone recently, the tower plan is an interesting move away from the recent trend of including multiple uses in such buildings, with ground-floor restaurants and retail. Fifth & West plans are for residential use only.
The 448-foot-tall tower still has units ranging from $447,500 to $5 million.
