Mixed-use complex will feature open areas and emphasize walkability

Developer StreetLights Residential recently released new renderings of Austin Flatiron, its multiuse complex under construction in the Domain area. According to home construction information site BuzzBuzzHome, the project will feature 372 residential units and five stores.

Flatiron designer WDG Architecture’s site indicates that the 4.69-acre development will feature one five-story building atop a single-story podium building with 92 units and leasing/amenities, another five-story surrounding a six-and-a-half-story open parking garage, and a three-story building with with townhome style units.

The designer’s aim, according to the site, is to facilitate an "upscale pedestrian experience" with open areas, patios, landscaping, and outdoor seating, putting its twist on the design of New York’s iconic Flatiron Building.
