NBA Star J.J. Redick Drops Austin Mansion Price to $4.9M

Clippers player's estate back on market

L.A. Clippers star J.J. Redick's 10,000-square-foot Italianate villa in Toro Canyon is on the Austin market for $4.9 million, down from the $5.3 million reported Wednesday by CultureMap Austin. The 1.14-acre estate features a main home with six bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, along with a separate cabana and living area poolside.

The home was active on the market in October 2015, then taken off and listed again in March for $5.49 million, dropped to $5.29 million in May, and was just cut again to $4.99 million, according to Redfin. Kathryn Scarborough of Engel & Völkers, which is listing the property, confirmed today's change with Curbed Austin by telephone.

An April 2015 Austin Business Journal article, meanwhile, reported that the estate was at that time listed with Moreland Properties for $6.9 million, which would put the overall price cut in slightly more than a year close to $2 million.

The home's interiors were designed by Austin-based Cami Wright Interiors, and it has been featured in Modern Luxury magazine, according to the current listing. It features Hill Country views, an infinity pool, a media room, a private office, two bars, and a rather catacomb-like wine cellar.

Scarborought told CultureMap that, despite the sale, Redick and family are not planning to leave Austin.
