Friday means it's time for the High & the Low, a Curbed Austin column chronicling the most and least expensive homes sold in Austin in the last seven days. So who got what this week, and how much (or little) did they get it for?
A Tarrytown property featured in In Style magazine, the top seller this week is a single-family home built in 2010. The 3,094-square-foot, two-story house has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, two living rooms, and a big cook's kitchen, along with covered outdoor entertaining spaces. It was put on the market June 17 for $1,285,000 and sold for that price on August 10.
It's rare for a single-family home to come in as the lowest sale for the week, but it's a nice thing to see. A 988-square-foot house built in 1972, it has three bedrooms and one bathroom. Located off William Cannon Drive in the Southeast Bluff Springs area, it was marketed as a rental or flip. It has a fenced backyard, and the interiors appear in decent shape, at least cosmetically. Listed for $119,900 on June 28, it sold for $120,00 on August 9.
