Austin rent comparison: what you get for $3,000/month

115 Havana Street, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom freestanding condo, 2,051 square feet, $3,200/month. This is a big single-family home in the Dawson neighborhood just off South Congress. In addition to the handy location, it has a high-quality finishes, its own full laundry facilities, and a backyard and deck. Listing doesn't mention pets.

54 Rainey Street, two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse, 1,164 square feet, $3,150/month. You'll of course be in the middle of all the Rainey Street happenings you care for with this condo. It has all the luxury amenities (concierge, gym, rooftop pool) and fixtures, as well as 12-foot ceilings and partial lake views. Also two reserved parking spots and extra storage space. No mention of pets.

2003 Indian Trail, three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, 1,707 square feet, $3,000/month. A cute Tarrytown cottage built in 1942 with hardwood floors and a stone fireplace, as well as what looks like some nice yard space for entertaining. Pet policy unknown.

6808 Glen Ridge Drive, three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, 1,888 square feet, $3,000/month.A single-family home in Northwest Hills, this house has a fireplace, a pool, and a big yard.

5401 Duval Street #A, four-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex, 1,875 square feet, $3,000/month. This UT-convenient duplex in the North Loop neighborhood has stained concrete floors, granite countertops, double-pane windows and high-speed connections. Both A & B available. Cats and dogs are allowed.
