Austin rent comparison: what you get for $1,800/month

Stone patio, nice yard with sprinklers and garden. Utility room with washer/dryer in carport. Cottage on property is rented/utilities split. No mention of pets.

5814 Orland Boulevard, four-bedroom, two-bathroom house, 1,475 square feet, $1,800/month. The rare large, South Austin home for rent, this brick house is newly remodeled and includes washer and dryer. Cats and small dogs are allowed.

4711 Spicewood Springs Road, two-bedroom, two-bathroom loft, 1,360 square feet, $1,785/month. This Northwest Hills unit is in a gated community close to Bright Leaf Preserve. It has wood floors in the living areas, an upgraded kitchen with granite counters, and many large windows with treetop views. Small dogs allowed.
