A block of East Sixth Street that transformed into dive-bar (and faux dive-bar) central in the past few years is now undergoing a more visibly dramatic transformation—not a big surprise, as it backs a Capital MetroRail line that will presumably at some point become useful.
The latest project to start leasing on that block is The Arnold, a five-story, mixed-use building with apartments above ground-floor restaurants and retail.
Not to be confused with The Indie, the "micro-unit community" across the street—though both are brought to you by Transwestern Development—The Arnold is a two-building, a 445,952-square-foot project that includes a 94,500-square-foot office building and 364 apartment units with 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space.
The mostly non-micro, pet-friendly apartments range from 393 square feet to 1,738 square feet and are now leasing for $813 to more than $2,975 per month.
