The hilly terrain of Travis Heights makes for some interesting structural adaptations for homes there, and this contemporary treehouse is one of the most well-executed we’ve seen.
The multi-level home, built in 2005, has been updated in beautiful fashion, with simple but classically modern materials such as polished concrete, cork and wood flooring, and Black Jasper stone counters. Interiors are light and bright, with surprising living spaces tucked throughout the house.
The upper levels—particularly the master bedroom—are in the abundant treetops. But it’s the outdoor spaces—balconies, patios, multileveled courtyard, and grassy lawn (all updated by Land Restoration)—that take the cake here. If that’s not enough, it’s just half a block to Stacy Pool.
