Cheery contemporary in Govalle asks $375K

Mod recent build in SOL sustainable community

We don’t love all the homes in SOL, the planned community in East Austin’s Govalle neighborhood that is committed to sustainability and features only contemporary homes. But frequent perusal of of some real estate sites (ahem, CreedeFitch) has convinced us that some of them are quite delightful and long on value.

This compact, modern one-story home, for example, looks covetable. The vaulted roof and clerestory windows bring in lots of light without sacrificing privacy, and it has shiny, reflective polished concrete floors that reflect the light as well and likely help keep the place cool in summer aka most of the year.

The home measures 1,192 square feet and features—another cool thing—two bedrooms and two bathroom, each in its own suite. In addition to being near a park, urban farms, and the Walnut Creek trail, it offers greenery aplenty in fenced back and side yards; there’s a sweet deck and patio out back, too.
