Austin Proper residences start at $681K

Smallest units measure 921 square feet

As apartments go, 921 square feet isn’t too shabby, but it definitely qualifies for the small home and other aspects of the city being being showcased for Curbed Austin’s Micro Week.

Austin Proper Hotel & Residences, one of the city’s much-discussed new downtown skyscrapers, broke ground recently at West Second and Colorado streets, a few blocks north of Lady Bird Lake. The 3-story, 500,000-square-foot luxury hotel and condo building had already started marketing and selling its residences prior to that, but now they’re hitting the sales listings fairly frequently.

The smallest condo currently for sale is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit, which measures the aforementioned 921 square feet and is asking $681,000.

As are all of the building’s interiors, the 1A condos are designed by Kelly Wearstler and feature balconies, open kitchen-living rooms, and wood and stone floors.
