Claw-foot tub alert! A Victorian built around 1912 in the central-city Hyde Park neighborhood isn’t exactly a rare thing, but there’s a wide variety within that category, preservation-wise. This one, which has two stories and measures 2,154 square feet, looks to be in great shape, with many period characteristics intact and/or restored.
There’s a big, moderately ornamented front porch with swing, along with long leaf pine floors, working transom windows, and to the original hardware on the doors and windows for instance. The large, two-story family room has 25-foot ceilings and opens on to the kitchen. Then there’s that clawfoot, which is in a light-filled bathroom that features decorative, period windows as well as a French door.
On the other hand, the house, which has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, has many updates that match its vintage appeal, including new HVAC, new upstairs carpet, and fresh interior paint.
