Bohemian Hyde Park bungalow chops price $15K

Remodeled 1925 home now asking $630K

This characteristically Hyde Park bungalow fronts Duval Street at 44th Street, so it could be a little noisy, but the upside is that longtime local faves Mother's Cafe and Quack's coffee shop are almost literally in your backyard.

When we profiled the home in August, the asking price was $630,000. Now it’s listed for $615,00—a pretty substantial drop. It’s also a bit surprising, considering its great location and nifty makeover.

The 1,655-square-foot house, built in 1925, has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, with a layout that allows for privacy for roommates or guests: There's a second living area off the master suite, a second bedroom with its own bathroom, and a guest studio with a full bathroom and separate entrance.

The back of the house has been redone with an updated kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and large windows overlooking a back deck and yard. There is also a framed Roky Erickson poster in the bathroom, but we don't know if it conveys.
