What does it cost to buy a home in West University right now? In an ongoing series with Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX takes a close look at the range of sales asking prices in the area to find out.

West University is adjacent to west side of the the University of Texas campus and includes the traditional West Campus area (UT to the east, North Lamar Boulevard to the west, starting at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on the south) but extends north to West 38th Street.

The current average listing price in the neighborhood is $314 per square foot, although the individual properties that comprise this average range from $247-408/sq.ft.

At the more affordable end of the range is 2704 San Pedro #1 (a 1,255-square-foot, two-bedroom condo asking $310,000, or $247/square foot). At the upper end of the price range is 2205 Lamar Unit 521, a 1,065-square-foot, two-bedroom condo asking $435,000.
