What does it cost to buy a home in Barton Hills right now?

In an ongoing series with Curbed Austin, real-estate analytics site NeighborhoodX takes a close look at the range of sales asking prices in the area, ranked by cost per square foot, to find out.

The Barton Hillls neighborhood is the southwest-central area that runs in that direction from Lady Bird Lake along Zilker Park between MoPac/Barton Springs on the west and Robert E. Lee Road/Rabb Road Rae Dell Avenue and South Lamar to the east, capping off at highways 290 and 71 on the southwest.

The current average listing price in the neighborhood is $419 per square foot, although the individual properties that make up this average range from $249 per square foot (1707 Spyglass Drive #46, an 1,864-square-foot condo asking $464,900) to $474 per square foot (2319 Westforest Drive, a ranch-style house built in 1956, on the market for $799,000).
