Austin rent comparison: what you get for $1,250/month

Saddle Creek, 10801 Old Manchaca Road, two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 995 square feet, $1,250/month. This Far South apartment just off Slaughter and Manchaca has resort-style amenities and a wooded dog park. Two-pet maximum.

SoCo on the Lake, 222 East Riverside Drive, one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 523 square feet, $1,254/month. SoCo on the the Lake is indeed on the lake—specifically in the Travis Heights neighborhood that starts at the river. It’s a pet-friendly community with some private patios and balconies as well as community decks and access to hike-and-bike trails.

2805 Reeves Circle #B, two-bedroom, one-bathroom duplex, 1,962 square feet, $1,250/month. Located in the hilly area of East Riverside-Oltorf near Burleson Road, this udated duplex unit has an attached one-car garage, covered patio, and fenced yard.

Yorkshire Drive, one-bedroom, one-bathroom house, 600 square feet, $1,250/month. A Windsor Park house located just north of the Mueller development convenient to much of central Austin but in a quiet area that’s not on a through street, this place has extra storage and a washer/dryer. Cats and small dogs allowed.

Chelsea Apartments, 5106 North Lamar, two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 736 square feet, $1,229/month. While these Rosedale are right on North Lamar Boulevard, it looks like complex surrounds there’s a big, nice, and potentially quiet that would make you appreciate the convenience of the location. Plus, it allows pets and looks pretty cute.
