Austin’s New Year—the city’s official New Year’s Eve party—returns once more to Vic Mathias (née Auditorium) Shores Sunday, and it’s bringing a few road closures with it.
The free, family-friendly, alcohol-free event, which features music and other performances on several stages, along with art, vendors, a food court, and kids’ activities—starts at 3 p.m. and ends with fireworks, which start popping at 10 p.m.
Street closures for the event, detailed and mapped below (via the Downtown Austin Alliance website), start much earlier and end at about the time we flip the calendar to 2018.
