It seems to be a week for beautiful, award-winning homes that have been featured in magazines to hit the market.

This Lago Vista home, called The Hive, was built in 1963 and has been featured in Atomic Ranch as well as winning an AIA award for designer Karen Lantz.

The split-level home, located on more than half an acre of land, backs to a park belonging to the homeowners association (dues: $11/month) on Lake Travis, views of which are available from its 800-square-foot, ironwood deck.

The Hive features three distinct sleeping areas, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms overall. Its 1,500 square feet contain many clerestory windows, large glass walls, doors, and windows in the living and dining area adjacent to the deck, exposed beams and vaulted, custom walnut cabinets, a mod kitchen, and swings under the deck.

There are also numerous built-in cabinets and an entertainment center, as well as a lovely, stone wood-burning fireplace in the living room.
