What’s the most expensive home listed in Texas at the moment (you might or might not be asking ...)? According to listings site Property Shark, which recently counted down the Top 10 in the Lone Star State, it’s a 2,282-acre estate just up the road from Austin, in Lago Vista.

According to the listing, the 358 acres on the southern part of the property are located directly across from Page Bend Park on Lake Travis, with deep water frontage extending from Cow Creek to the Tessera community on the lake.

The property’s northern 1,900 acres are surrounded by the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge.

The $68 million value, as real-estate pros are wont to say, is most definitely in the land. The property’s residence, built in 1986, has the spectacular lake and Hill Country views one would expect. Measuring 5,056 square feet, it has six bedrooms and five and half baths, along with stone floors and exterior walls, as well as a large patio and pool from which to enjoy those views.
