This treasure of a midcentury modern home in Tarrytown was on the market in May, for $1.5 million, and now it’s back with a $200,000-plus price drop. One of the few local residences designed by the Austin firm Fehr & Granger, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is quite the find.

The 2,247-square-foot home was built in 1964 and is in its "original condition," according to the listing. It does indeed appear to be a veritable time capsule, retaining period features including bathroom tiles, wood-paneled walls, kitchen appliances, and built-in bookcases.

It’s on over lot that measures more than a third of an acre and is flat in front, with a gentle slope in back. There are mature oaks and landscaping, a nice back porch with wrought-iron railings; according to the listing, there is room on the lot for other structures. There is also a creepy-looking greenhouse we want to know more about.
