We profiled this lovely home, designed by Charles Granger of Austin’s legendary Fehr & Granger architecture firm, in October, when it was on the market for around $2.4 million. Now it’s back, and still as beautiful, asking nearly $150,000 less.

Originally built in 1963, the home was completely renovated in 2006. While there have been quite a few updates, it retains the original design’s attention to setting and layout, showcasing the surrounding foliage and pool through copious windows and glass doors.

It’s also located in Highland Park West, where many of Austin’s remaining midcentury modern homes are located. Tucked away down a secluded drive on .65 acres, the two-story home take full advantage of its lovely site.

The Balcones Park house features white oak hardwoods and three large, sunny living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, updated kitchen, a fireplace, and multiple patios and balconies, along with landscape lighting and the aforementioned pool.

The house measures 7,008 square feet. It has five bedrooms and nine bathrooms

The large master bedroom has double bathrooms each with dressing areas and built-ins.

The leafy lot, with mature trees and landscaping, is visible from the house’s many floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, while a fence and the foliage allow privacy.
