West Lake Hills contemporary asks $3M

Architectural home overlooking golf course

two-story contemporary living room with fireplace and wall of windows
4171 Westlake Drive
Estately

Built in 2008, this home on a Westlake hillside, was designed by Larue Architects, practitioners of the art of the Hill Country contemporary—a style that has evolved over the years but has retained its basic characteristics.

There are a few details that give away its origins in the late aughts, but for the most part, it leans toward classic rather than dated. According to the listing it’s one of a handful of homes that sits on the Austin Country Club Golf course—the putting green of Hole #12, to be exact.

The two-story main home has three bedrooms three and a half bathrooms; there’s also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest, making for a grand total of 4,773 square feet. The open floor plan and abundant, gigantic windows create a smooth transition from indoors to its outdoor porches and entertainment areas. There’s a pool and hot tub, of course, as well as a three-car garage.
