1953 home celebrates its era, and a few others

Ranch-style homes in Windsor Park aren’t exactly rare, but this one is unique in that it retains various features from decades past while looking to have been kept up rather nicely (at least cosmetically—potential buyers might want to ask about the foundation, judging from a couple of the photos).

Located on corner lot that measures a little more than a quarter of an acre, the low-slung, brick house was built in 1953. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the latter of which look to have at least some of their original tile.

With the exception of the kitchen linoleum and game-room, there are wood floors in the bedrooms and living areas; there’s also a nice display of wallpaper of various vintages on several walls throughout the home.

The kitchen looks to have its original cabinets, vent hood, and aforementioned wallpaper and linoleum, and there’s a breakfast area as well as a formal dining room.

Perhaps the pride of the home, though, is the large bonus/rec room, which features rich paneling, polished concrete floors, and a heavily beamed ceiling.

The bonus room opens on to a charming deck, which in turns looks over a nice expanse of lawn under mature shade trees. There’s also a two-car garage.
