The combination of an 1920s-style home, a fully outfitted guest house out back, and the more midcentury-leaning neighborhood of Brentwood is surely a unique one.

This one-story frame home fills the bill, however. Adding to the mystery is that the listing alludes to the Craftsman style of the 1920s but also notes that the house was built in 1974. Sometimes completely gutted and remodeled homes—especially those that get additions—get their build year updated on records, but it’s hard to tell if that’s the case with this one.

At any rate! The two homes are located on more than 1/3 of an acre. The front house (the Craftsman/Craftsman-inspired one) has three bedrooms and one bathroom, along with high ceilings, longleaf pine flooring, and a contemporary kitchen with many original finishes.

In back is a rustic (in style, not condition), completely outfitted house that is currently an Airbnb. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a stone fireplace, a full kitchen, and a private deck.

The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms have period-looking cabinets, doors, windows, doors, frames, and trim.

Behind the main home is small, detached house with full kitchen and private deck.

The grounds front and back are private and lush, with mature trees landscaping, backing to a wet-weather creek.
