An estate straddling the Barton Creek and Crystal Mountain neighborhoods that consistently topped lists of most expensive home on the Austin market finally found a buyer, who closed Wednesday for $21.8 million.

When Curbed Austin featured the home in March 2016, it was on the market for $25 million. While it has been on and off the real estate listings since then, it returned asking that amount this summer.

Located on a a 128-acre equestrian ranch with many horsey (and other) amenities, the 6,588-square-foot home on the ranch four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.

It’s private but very close to downtown and also features Barton Creek frontage, panoramic views, and some pretty fancy barns and outbuildings.
