1960s lakeside house with all-white interior asks $850K

Must have commitment to white paint

This home located in the Panorama Ranch area south of Steiner Ranch (the river runs though it) reads as lake house, but it’s also within range of West Lake Hills amenities., including schools. So buyers could potentially use it as a full-time home.

The two-story home on nearly an acre was built in 1965, and the exterior, with its flat roof, blocky style, and downstairs stone facade, looks consistent with styles of the era. The simple, unadorned but pleasant-looking second-floor veranda, with its relative lack of ornamentation, is another clue to its lineage.

The interior of the home, though, is a different story. Sellers or their stages seem to have made a serious commitment to all-white walls, ceilings, cabinets, and pretty much everything else (with definite pops of color), which, because it frequently appears as a whitewash of the original wood, puts one in mind of a certain kind of old-school Hamptons cottage.

The compact two-story is located on almost an acre of land and measures 986 square feet.

There are two bedrooms and one bathroom.
