Austin rent comparison: What $1,350/month gets you

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Austin neighborhoods. Is one person's studio another person's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $1,350.

Lantana Hills Apt. 1914, 7601 Rialto Boulevard, one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 764 square feet, $1,364/month. This apartment in a large, newish-looking West Oak Hill complex has granite countertops, GE appliances, and cherry cabinetry, as well as a full-sized washer and dryer, nine-foot ceilings, ceiling fans, an oversized garden tub, and a walk-in closet. It’s also pet friendly.

1506 Concordia Avenue, one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 800 square feet, $1,375/month. There’s not a ton of info listed about this two-story apartment, located in the Cherrywood neighborhood, but we know its location is convenient to UT, downtown, grocery stores, and restaurants. Also it comes with one parking space.

The Regency, 601 West 11th Street, one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, 696 square feet, $1,375/month. If you want to live right smack in the middle of Downtown (more or less), this might be your place. It has hardwood floors, parking in an attached garage, and lots of utilities included in rent. It also allows cats.

1900 Scofield Ridge Parkway, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo, 1,089 square feet, $1,375/month. A Far North condo located between Parmer Lane and Wells Branch Parkway, this unit has appliances including washer/dryer included, two balconies, and an attached garage.

2113 Nelray Boulevard, two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, 672 square feet, $1,365/month. This North Loop home has plenty of nice features, including some hardwood floors and a fenced backyard (pets are okay, too). Unfortunately, those features don’t seem to include central air and heat, so it’s window units for renters.
