We appear to be heading back to hot and dry, as far as weather goes, and, given recent events, the old normal is looking pretty good right now.

With it returns another regular event: The Livestrong Honor 5K and 10K, which takes place Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (Granted, by then, there are some rain chances forecast, but nothing storm-like and mostly later in the day.)

The event, which honors those currently battling cancer, survivors, and those lost to the disease, starts and ends at Auditorium Shores. Those running and walking the 5K complete one lap around the course—a loop that includes the South First Street bridge, Riverside Drive, and West Cesar Chavez—while 10K participants make two laps.
