Austin ceramicist Keith Kreeger’s mold-breaking designs have landed his exquisite, contemporary porcelain pieces on the table of top restaurants and in the homes of discriminating tastemakers nationwide (including but not limited to Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick, who have several pieces in their Austin home). Soon, Austinites will be able to appreciate (and purchase) his work up close and in person, when Keith Kreeger Studios opes its new showroom at the East Austin Canopy complex on Springdale Road.
“People in Austin have been interacting with my work during their evenings out at many of our city’s great restaurants,” said Kreeger. “Now they can bring the pieces into their homes. I’m privileged to have had so many people in Austin support my work, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone to the new space.”
The showroom will have regular hours, and will carry popular collections such as Kreeger’s Gramercy vases, cups, and serving pieces, as well as his latest limited-edition and one-of-a-kind pieces, including hand-thrown bowls and large-scale vases. The Studios will also be able expand production, allowing for more availability popular pieces, on both a walk-in basis and via pre-order, as well as custom items.
The Keith Kreeger Studios showroom opens Monday, Feb. 12, and several special events and collaborations in the new space are planned for the year.
