One-story house in new-mod Starlight Village asks $419K

Midcentury modern fans will likely be interested to learn that Starlight Village, the long-awaited Leander community that features all-new homes in the popular style, is starting to put finished houses on the market.

An ongoing national passion for the midcentury style seems to have fueled the development of new communities in the style throughout the country, and this particular home, which has Starlight’s Cocoa Beach model, hits many of the classic touchstones: paneled wood accent walls, trapezoid clerestory windows, a stone fireplace with a floating bench, and terrazzo floors.

The design homage continues in the galley kitchen, with the midcentury style is recreated with with contemporary materials and appliances. The 1,550-square-foot, one-story home has a stacked-exterior and a metal butterfly roof, a two-car carport, and an Ipe patio in back.

The house has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The master bedroom has a walnut accent wall and walk-in closet, and the master bathroom has quartz counters, a double vanity, a walk-in shower with a frameless glass door.

Not to be forgotten: the home is surrounded by a variety of midcentury-style models, including a community pool and other community features that complement them.
