Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount in various Austin neighborhoods. Is one person’s studio another person’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today’s price: $250,000.

2203 East Side Drive No. 209, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo, 1,105 square feet, $255,000, $375/month HOA dues. Located in a charming 1960s complex on the southern edge of Travis Heights, the top-floor unit has been remodeled recently and features stainless steel appliances, large bedrooms, and an open living plan.

7508 Aspen Brook Drive, four-bedroom, three-bathroom house, 2,322 square feet, $250,000. Those looking for a large home, single-family home at our price point will find (at least) one in the Colorado Crossing neighborhood on the outskirts of the Eastside near the airport. The two-story house has new carpet, fresh paint, walk-in closets, and a fenced backyard with a covered deck, and fire pit.

935 Condominiums

935 Condominiums, 935 Posada Drive 158 Unit 953, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo, 1,030 square feet, $249,000, $245/month HOA dues. Located in the St. Johns-Coronado Hills neighborhood in Northeast Austin, this two-story unit has been fully gutted and remodeled. It has recessed lighting, wood-shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and Energy Star stainless steel appliances. The cute cat in the bedroom is probably not included in the HOA dues, but internet and cable are.

6211 Manor Road Unit 123, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom condo, 1,014 square feet, $248,000, $238/month HOA dues. A two-story condo in the Pecan Springs-Springdale neighborhood, this place has hardwood floors, stainless appliances, walk-in closets, and a large backyard.

8504 Croydon Loop, two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, 864 square feet, $294,000. This single-family home in a Far South subdivision called Buckingham Estates and, while small, it has been remodeled well and looks pretty sweet. A brand-new kitchen features granite counters, custom cabinets, and the Frigidaire Gallery appliance suite. It also has hardwood floors and a marble-topped bathroom vanity, as well as large, fenced backyard and a one-car garage.
